FIRA - The capital city of Santorini. White washed buildings built on the side of a cliff with a blue background of sea & sky contribute to this city's beauty and charm. There are many shops and night clubs to keep things interesting. 

OIAOIA- This beatiful village is picturesque and world famous for it's sunsets. OIA

Both of these cities face the volcano (NEA KAMENI) and caldera adding to the breathtaking view.

AkrotiriAKROTIRI - Sometimes known as the "Pompei of the Ancient Agean", this Minoan civilization was destroyed by the volcanic eruption of Santorini in about 1500 B.C. The excavations have unearthed a number of finds including pottery, stone vases, tools, and amazingly preserved wall paintings. These frescoes are temporarily housed in the Athesn archeological museum.

ATLANTIS - This continent was created for Poseidon's lover, Cleito. It was named for their eldest son Atlas, who was also it's first king. Peace & prosperity reigned here until the inhabitants started to behave undeemly for Poseidon's descendants and was detroyed in a single day. Plato was the first to set down the original story in about 350 B.C. Various locations have been proposed for the lost continent - Santorini is just one of them.
