3 - SITE DESIGN
As important as effective design is in any medium, it is perhaps most crucial on a website. When a potential client is "surfing" on the Internet, your site must draw
them in and hold their attention until your desired result is achieved. Other opportunities await at the click of the mouse, so a poorly designed site can
quickly become a faint memory as the prospect speeds away to another destination. A solidly designed website will draw
the patron back for regular visits and will elicit word of mouth traffic as well. It will be arranged in such a way as to be appealing, in content and
appearance, to a targeted audience. The well designed site will include feedback forms to gain valuable data from the customer, including their
reason for visiting and their contact information, which can be compiled into a database and used for future communications regarding updates to
the website or product announcements and special offers, etc... There should also be lists of answers to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) to
help the visitor understand your offerings and your company.
